Country Gentleman
Drag to set position!
I was born in 1959 and after completing my military service in a helicopter squadron I graduated in Automotive Engineering and worked for several global enterprises.
During my engineering education I also became fascinated about industrial heritage and the history of the 19th and 20th century.
I've now taken an offer for voluntary early retirement and will enjoy my new found freedom doing lots of farm work.
My interests are anything old, steam and classic diesel locomotives; steam traction, steam engines, steam rollers; circus and fairground transport including showmans engines; vans, pick-up trucks and lorries; classic motorcycles and classic airplanes; and of course tractors and farm machinery with Fordson / Ford / New Holland / CNH my prefered brand, but I'm also passionate about Massey Ferguson, International Harvester / Case / CIH, JCB and John Deere.
My passions for classic British vehicles includes anything from Blower Bentleys to Morris Minors, but my strongest interest are Land Rovers, tractors and farm machinery, which I also love to collect as die cast models.
I also enjoy to participate in classic car and steam engine gatherings, country fairs, historic aviation events and taking rides in heritage trains.
Other activities also include taking my dog for long distance hikes in the country site.
