The Mid-Maryland Post, formerly recognized as the Fort Detrick Post, is one of the newest Posts in the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) having been founded just 5 years ago. The Mid-Maryland Post is known for its highly relevant programming, vibrant membership, and strong commitment to furthering STEM-based education for our nation’s youth. Our focus area spans east to west, from Fort Meade to Fort Detrick and services Agencies and constituents between the metropolitan areas of Washington DC and Baltimore. The Mid-Maryland Post is quickly growing in influence, and now boasts over 220 members and 20 sustaining member firms, including a recently founded Student Chapter at the University of Maryland with over 40 student members.

SAME is the premier professional association uniting public and private sector individuals and organizations from across the architecture, engineering, and construction disciplines in support of national security as it relates to infrastructure. In 2020, SAME will celebrate its 100-year anniversary, and as an organization represents over 30,000 members, and more than 100 Posts worldwide.
