I used to ask people questions about their lives and write down their answers, then put it into a local newspaper.

I used to take photographs and have them published in newspapers and magazines.

I used to teach people about photography, in a college and in a gallery, and also up a mountain.

Now I try to explain Scotland and the north of England to visitors, as a tour guide.

I prefer black-and-white.
