I graduated in 1981 and got my first camera in 1984. I've had a thing for trains since I was very young, my folks gave me several train sets and before I graduated I was modeling in N scale. After getting my first camera I started out shooting prints, in 1986 I switched to slides and shortly after that I met a guy on a bike with a camera hanging around his neck near the rail yards. We became fast friends and shared the hobby of rail photography.

He showed me what could be done with a camera and trains as a subject and I became hooked as a railfan, but I gave up shooting around 92 due to needing to get all new digital gear or getting back into modeling. I chose modeling as I couldn't afford both. Only recently did I upgrade my camera gear. Now I'm finding myself being able to do both. In someways I could kick myass for putting the camera down as I've missed the colorful merger of the BN & AT&SF. Now it seems that all I can shoot are Orange & Black or Yellow & Gray colored turds. But I'm trying to make the best of it.

I never thought I'd miss the Cascade green as much as I am now?
