As the psychologist, Carl Rogers said, 'I have lived a 'rich', full life of experiential learning. Knowing both great triumph and disaster whilst still retaining the enthusiasm for new experiences... which apparently has me as 'a fully functioning person,' I'll let others be the judge of that.
Aged 73 whilst I'm not yet old enough to be wise, I am old enough to be philosophical. Drawn to both Stoic and Buddhist philosophy, the two compliment each other...
'A Stolic is a Buddhist with attitude,' Nicholas Naseem Taleem
'If you think you're too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito.' the Dalai Lama
'Anything that contradicts logic and experience should be abandoned,' the Dalai Lama
Whilst, regrettably, I'm not at present able to include a photo I can assure any interested party I don't frighten children or police horses.
And am best regarded as friendly, able and intelligent with a philosophical outlook on life with a GSOH.😊
At which point would add that Stoic philosophy is NOT, as many misguidedly think about repressing emotions. IT IS, about transforming them. Turning adversity into advantage e.g. 'Our minds are dyed by the colour of our thoughts,' Marcus Aurelius.
