My name is Brandon Wright, and I am a 21-year-old Journalism-Mass Media student at Durham College. I am an aspiring sports journalist.

After one year of journalism school, I was awarded for having the best first-year news stories, as well as the best first-year blog.

The summer after my first year I landed an opportunity to cover the 101st Memorial Cup tournament in Halifax, N.S.

Upon the start of my final year at Durham College, I was hired by the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League to intern in their social media department. I now tweet for all home games, as well as a third of the team’s away games.
