My Testimonial

I purchased my first camera in 2007 and become hooked on photography when the Tall Ships came to Ramsgate Harbour. I wanted to try and obtain better shots, so joined a local camera club and with their help, I learnt how to use the manual settings on my camera. With practice, I began to get the full benefit from my camera. The help that the local camera club gave me was invaluable and opened up a whole new dimension to my photo shots. Slowly over a period of years, I have developed my skills and still enjoy learning new techniques. I started to store my pictures on Flickr as Volvoman.margate and Andr’e Van de Cappelle so that people could view them and offer constructive feedback, there are now over 45000 which has produced 3.3, million hits on the website.

I take one picture in colour and this is then duplicated in black and white, Sepia and Led, this has come about from requests on Flickr

At the ripe old age of 72, I have automated the new Website to try and keep up with demand from viewers, so I hope you enjoy my pictures. Many thanks for your continuing support
