Good day, and welcome to my flickr page!

My name is Brian Colville and I have enjoyed the hobby of astronomy and astrophotography for over to 50 years.

My astronomy images are taken from a collection of telescopes that I keep in my back yard observatories at my home near Cambray, Ontario Canada. "Maple Ridge Observatory" includes 2 observatories which house telescopes dedicated to planetary, solar, lunar, and deep sky imaging.

I also produce maple syrup each spring as a revenue source to support my astronomy obsession! I have started an album to share pics from the 2022 season, with a few introductory photos from last years to start the journey and explain some of the process involved. My wife and I began to keep honey bees in 2023. We had a small honey harvest in the fall of 2023, but the lost all the bees to winter kill due to the wildly variable weather during the winter of 2023-2024. We have setup again in 2024 and added a third hive to expand a little and hope that this is a more successful long therm project.

I hope to share some of my better astro images here, as well as photos of nature subjects, weather phenomenon, and landscapes. Please enjoy my selection of photos...earth bound and celestial.
