I have been an artist my entire life. From childhood I have created random sculptures, painted canvases, walls and murals among other mediums. I have been sketching for as long as I can remember. I have been writing poetry since I was seven years old, along with some short stories and even songs. Till this day poetry is a very important part of me. I love crafting everything from cards to presents to themed party decorations and costumes. I also take pleasure doing make-up, both simple and elaborate. I use acrylics, watercolor, charcoal, clay, jewels, beads, feathers, paper, rocks, found objects, basically everything and anything. Along with physical art, I also love digital art. I have a real passion for photography. I love taking photos of everything I see. Capturing every moment whether it’s an event, nature or just an average day. With that, I also enjoy videography, digital photography manipulation and digital art. I currently use my Canon Rebel T7i, Adobe Photoshop CS6, Adobe Premier Pro CS6 and LightRoom 5 among others.

Magic Photography

My husband partnered together with me to turn my passions into reality. Together we started Magic Photography, an Alberta based photography company that makes the most of event and portrait photography by capturing the essence of the moment.

We have been married for over 6 years and have two adorable young children. We enjoy doing family outings together and traveling around western Canada. Donovan has been a graphic and website designer for over 10 years and has recently dabbled into virtual reality. He has a love for new technology and a passion for business. He also is great at capturing candid moments which makes him a great event photographer. Alysia has been an artist her whole life. She's a poet, painter, crafter and more. She has also studied photography in school for many years. She has always been a shutter bug; always the girl with the camera. Alysia loves touching up and editing photographs. Adding or taking away elements to enhance the photo and creating something unique and wonderful. With 16 years experience in both photography and digital editing, Alysia is the Master Photographer of Magic.
