This account is filled with my top 1000 train art photos so it is subject to change as my collection grows and possibly as my preferences change. Since phones started having cameras I have slowly become a makeshift self-taught photographer like everyone else. I take photos of landscapes and nature mostly but because I may use them for painting references in my fine art practice, I choose not to share them online. Really photos in nature only capture part of the feeling of being there so they are kind of disappointing for me. Painting landscapes in nature seems to help me capture more of the feeling of being there but it is too distracting for the way I like to appreciate the outdoors, which is more athletically. Photography compliments exercise in nature since it is a quick form. When I paint from the photos that I take, I try and remember the feeling of the place or even revisit it multiple times during the process of rendering it.
