Studied Graphic Design/Illustration in 2001 - 2003 at Lincolnshire and Humberside University and Oxford and Cherwell University having completed a Btec National Diploma in Graphic Design in 1998 at Northampton College.
Having studied in what I would describe a 'post explosive' era (between the take off of the world wide web and digital creative art), and fortunate to have had a grounding in SLR's and dark rooms; experimenting with Man Ray style photograms and pinhole camera images.
I Find myself here studying in the 'exploded digital era', making up for lost time, and opportunities that were rightly mine to take hold of, back in the turn of the century.
I have a creative mind and love Art and this reflects in my photography.
I have had a desire for years to design my own fashion using inspiration from shooting photography. I decided I would train professionally in photography with the aim to use photography to collate and reference from.
Having a keen curiosity in social/documentary photography (using imagery to showcase an argument and be a voice of systemic change) and having studied Psychology both at college and with the Open University; I am enthusiastic and driven to venture into incorporating this into my work along with Law and injustice. It is said 'One image speaks a thousand words'. where words can fail and actions/fights be seemingly in vain, photography can be a powerful tool.
