I started shooting B&W film in 1973 with a very basic Pentax 35mm camera. Was gifted a Nikon EM in 1981 – shot 1000’s of pic of my kids and landscapes. Moved to a Nikon FM2N in 1986 and shot 1000’s more. Acquired a Nikon D40 in 2008. Coming from the FM2, I did not adjust well to the new digital era (auto focus, no aperture ring and menus) and I gave up photography. In 2017 I stumbled across the Fuji X system and my interest in photography was reignited – buttons and dials are back! I picked up a X-T10 and later a X-T2. They are a good one-two punch – the X-T10 for biking, hiking and motorcycling – the X-T2 for more serious tripod work.
I also have a small collection of vintage Nikkor lenses that work well with my Fuji’s.
I’ve lived long enough to see the Nikon EM become popular again.
