Did photography full time for about 3 years - mobile studio shooting mostly children, but did a bit of everything. I am self-taught and have enjoyed art since high school. Before doing freelance photography I had shot maybe a dozen rolls of film in my life, but it is amazing how much you can learn when you want to and have access to the internet. Haven't done much photography for about five years, but in Dec 2006 I bought a Panasonic DMC-FZ7 and suddenly photography is fun again!!! I don't know if I will ever shoot on film again.
