The Academic History of UCLA Ph.D. Management Candidate Athanasse Zafirov

 

A computer science and economics academic with particular interests in data modeling and statistical learning, Athanasse Zafirov undertook his higher education by getting a diploma in Computer Science at Dawson College. Athanasse Zafirov later on enrolled at the John Molson School of Business and he completed a bachelor's in finance. He then enrolled in a master's in applied economics from the University of Montreal's business school (H.E.C. Montreal).

 

While enlisted at the University of Montreal, Athanasse Zafirov garnered 2 awards for attaining the top annual grade average among his peers at l'universite de Montreal’s Applied Economics department. His master's thesis on the macro effects of national bond portfolio management earned a nomination for Best Graduate Paper among his peers.

 

After earning his graduate degree from l'universite de Montreal, Athanasse Zafirov focused on investment analysis for many years, being part of Letko-Brosseau & Associates and serving as an RA on papers involving well respected research establishments. In the academic year of 2018, Mr. Zafirov enlisted at UCLA, where he's presently completing his Ph.D. in Management at the Anderson college of Management.
