my message is simple --

keep it simple, keep it efficient, keep it effective, keep it quiet and the fish will follow.

( you don't need an awful lot of gear to fish successfully.)

I have fished since I was 8 years old and old school angler with a passion for engineering (Stanton and Staveley apprentice trained with honours. And yes I am/ was related to Harry Reynolds, the inventor of the original Stanton reel. My clam to fame, among a lot of other one off customised gear concepts, was the Glo-lite night fishing rod way back in 1992. The next big idea the 2020 super light Trans-Pod but don't be fooled by the concept of it being light, It is strong enough and then some.)

This style of fishing is not every anglers cup of tea but how ever you chose to fish, good luck on your quest and tight lines.

(Most of the images were taken by the wife, these are NOT all I catch but merely memorable moments for reflection of a trip out at the waterside or gear created. )

And I might add carp are by far the easiest to catch and can be an annoyance in my book, plus an invasive species brought over by the monks in the 1200s.

So guess you could say I AM NOT a CARPER just an angler in search of a fish or two with an engineering background.
