I am a freelance photo journalist that aspires to join the National Geographic team one day! A Closer Look

Capturing a moment by freezing the energy, emotion and beauty is my passion, whenever I am behind the lens. All things can be photographed with a unique perspective regardless of the subject; nothing becomes redundant when you allow creativity to pilot your visual journey.

During my transition from a journalistic style to fine art photography I found myself gravitating toward the wonderful world of macros. There is something surreal about capturing larger than life visuals that engage the audience by immersing themselves into the experience. I would like my work with macros to highlight the sometimes hidden every day gems and intricate details that all too often overlooked or taken for granted.

To be able to capture something as simple as water bouncing off a ripe berries that magically transform into glistening diamonds or get up close and personal with a baby grasshopper and all of its hundreds of delicate perfectly arranged parts and share my discover with the world is the greatest joy.

My hope with this collection of macro photographs is invite the onlooker in for a moment…breath and absorb the experience.
