I have recently relocated to Japan from a long journey in the UK & the USA. Since then slowly, but surely, I have been spending more and more time on flickr.

On August 31st, 2010, I uploaded photo number 200 onto my photostream, and so I thought that this is a good opportunity for an update of my profile.

Photography was, for me, a hobby that I started in elementary school. I began to loose interest sometime in my youth, though. My films started collecting dust in their stored boxes and I never really got a chance to enjoy them past the day they were filed. However, somehow, my passion for photography was rekindled when I started London life on 2002. London is old city and yet in many ways very modern, so offers a tremendous opportunity to capture some great images.

My time living in London was the motivation behind this rekindled passion, and also allowed me to become more adventurous in my photography style, with my trying to convey "souls, spirits or emotions". Through my photos, I hope to bring some of these things to your attention. I have also tried some of these ideas out in the images I captured after my move to the USA in 2006. This is when I joined flickr, simply to show my photos to my friends as a "photo blog". Flickr has allowed me to create a stream of pictures that I deem ‘gems’. Some of these were taken years ago, some only yesterday. Some are on good old-fashioned film, some digital. I now post not only for friends, but also for myself, and am thrilled to find others who appreciate what I do and how I see the objects of my photographs! I, meanwhile, will continue to try and improve my photography and to capture, in images, my view of the world.

I appreciate those that are kind enough to leave a comment and a fave on my photos and I will do my best to check out your stream and return the favor. Sorry if this does not work out every time! I really like to focus on looking at my contact photos and trying to keep my list small. Therefore please don't feel offended if you add me as a contact and I might not add you right away.
