My dear friend, I'd like to congratulate you with your collection of very special and excellent pictures. They pleased me very much as I spend a very happy youth between 1959 and 1975 in Comarruga (Vendrell). My parents had a house over there, and three months a year the interior of your magnificent country had no secrets for me as I grew up with a lot of friends from Vendrell, Calafell, Santas Creus, Tarragona, Villafranca and Barcelona... I think it is not a surprise that Zaffon is one of my favourite authors. Life is strange. I'll never forget the special light that made the eyes of the girls in your region even prettier. But life is fate and fate is life, one day I returned to Flanders to inscribe me at the university and met the grandmother of my grandchildren...
