Amature historian and sometimes lay marine archeologist when it concerns the Paddle Steamer trade of the River Murray. I'm not a photographer's backside but i know what i like - Riverboats and the River Murray. That's why you'll find most of my pics are mainly about this.

I plan to write a book (one day) about the building of a full size paddle steamer covering all aspects of its construction from start to finish. In my spare time i have been known to survey and measure wrecked riverboats with my rusting old tape measure and notepad. My ultimate goal is to build a 21 metre long paddle steamer and travel from Echuca to Goolwa and then just for fun turn around and do it again!

I live in Echuca now and have been working on the boats since april '09. I'm loving my work as a deckhand and Steam engineer and hopefully in few years go on to become a skipper.

That should keep me busy while i'm not surveying wrecked steamers and barges of the Murray River. I just hope some one enjoys the photos as much as i do taking them ! And yes they are free to copy if you like : )
