First of all I'd like tell you that I'm not dead ;) Someone might have had that impression as I got really quiet regarding my online activities. It's just that I can't find time nor motivation to donate time to this fine subject recently. I'm sure I'll be back though!
UPDATE:
I even managed to continue working on one of my Scrapbox Work in Progress Images and hope to get it done within the next weeks:

Nose cleaning, new panellines and reshaped intake already done.. much more peft to do...
I'm an IT engineer working for a rather big german company. I've always been pretty much into planes, flight sims and aviation art. In 2004 Neil Caroll introduced me and many others to a really interesting way to get your own aviation art: Use flight sim's screenshots.
I was instantly addicted and still enjoy experimenting with digital arts too. It's very interesting too look how others work and to learn new techniques. While at the beginning it was more or less taking shots as they are it went over adding planes to photobackgrounds to the current way of handpainting background and even repainting most parts of the planes to get rid of the typical polygonal or unsharp look of the computer graphics.
Together with other interested persons we formed a small web community which can be found at www.screenshotprints.com

There you can find the high res versions of my images as well as magnificent work of many others!
