My love of photography has grown out of my love of being outdoors whether walking the hills around my home, by the ocean or exploring when I travel.

I think it was Turner who said God is Light and I am fascinated by light, the way the energy of a place can change dramatically in a matter of moments.

The impact we have had on the environment is another subject to explore; sometimes the built environment harmonizes (or even enhances) beautifully with it's natural surroundings, many cities have architecture which is astounding and increasingly sensitive to environmental concerns. But it's impossible to ignore the degradation and damage human activity is causing and while I am continuing to use LR, PS etc., to eliminate jarring elements, I'm increasingly drawn to making those the subject of an image.
