I've never used anything fancier than a point-and-shoot, digital or otherwise. I'm not entirely sure what f-stops are or how ISO might affect a photograph. I think I've played with Photoshop once or twice. Maybe some day I'll be able to get myself a fancy camera and some training. But for now, I'm just enjoying everyone else's work and dabbling at capturing images with my humble Canon Powershot (whose user's manual, as the mother of four young children, I've never found the time to read...).

What I love most about photography is the way it captures a moment or shows the world from a new perspective. And although I'm ignorant about the technical aspects of photography, I do enjoy a well-composed photo and the workings of line and light.
