"I had witnessed how you became Flickr's celebrity Mang Maning, as I am one of your very first contacts. A year ago I am JUSTone of the few in your photo comment box, but now as you uploaded a photo, in a matter of minutes dozens & dozens of Flickrites were beating each other to be the first to post a comment & fave your photos. Most of your photos now are in Explore & Front Page as well, a year ago you asked me “Arnel what is Explore and how can my photos be Explore”. A big man with a cane, that’s how you described yourself when you asked me to meetyou for the first time, and since then I became a regular visitor in your home as if I belong to your family. I have witnessed how passionate you are in this photography hobby, unlike before where you just kill time watching DVD’s inside your room or worrying about problems, but since you’ve been to Flickr, you WORRY ABOUT WHAT PHOTO TO UPLOAD. I have introduced you to our fellow Kodakeros and since then they became your friends and admired you. You are eager to join photo shoot and EB’s, while most of us worry if you can cope with it considering your physical condition but as always you are very energetic. I got to know mang maning thru, like others, his comment on one of my photos. I have to confess at first I thought he was just someone my age using a photo of his father as an avatar, because his comments sounded "cool" and hip:) but then his profile showed me otherwise. And that made me admire his works more. Now I find myself thinking that if I ever grow old.... errr.... mature:) I'd want to be like mang maning, still shooting and capturing moments.

“Mang Maning dedication to photography is second to none. He is very creative, and as I look into his photo stream, he has the most interesting photos I ever seen. His macro shots of flowers are amazing and truly the work of a professional, I can see him mastering the art of macro photography in the near future. He is also very resourceful, when it comes to his subjects, if it takes for him to go to the flower shop just to take the photos of flowers, he does it...
