Scientist (Road Engineering) - Industrial Chemist since 1973.(now retired) Photography has always provided a quiet break from a demanding field of work.
Nikon user since 1973 (first camera was a Kowaflex in 1965)
Nikon F >FM > F2 > F4 > D70 > D200/F5 > D3S
Can't sell the old ones (a collectors mentality without the resources)
2.1cm non SLR Nikkor, a favourite on my F2 (always B&W)
20/3.5 (72 mm) a great starting point and used for many years.
Later moved to AF-D lenses but continue to enjoy the AIS mechanical quality. D200/D3S handles them well.
Lost my B&W for 2 years (D70 has that effect)
Now using a D200/D3S and a recently purchased F5 (getting back into B&W) Digital has made some great bargains available.
Interested in Melbourne architecture and unusual sites. No need to travel, Melbourne has it all.
Added D3s for stage work and looking at D800E for travel.
Purchased D7100 for travel and very pleased. Use with 18-200 and Sigma 10-20.
First trip to Europe (Rhine and Danube) 2013 (in time for European Floods)
Very pleased with D7100. Also using for portraits (controlled lighting) remarkable resolution.
