Retired mechanical engineer, worked most of my career at Electro-Motive Division (EMD) of General Motors designing components for diesel-electric locomotives, was the inventor of the HTCR radial steering 3-axle truck; designed the SD80MAC and the DE/DM30AC passenger locos for Long Island RR. Also worked for American Steel Foundries (ASF-Keystone) on freight car trucks and as a consultant to Motive Power and General Electric, Vossloh in Spain, Downer-EDI in Australia, Siemens in Germany and Caterpillar. Have been a gearhead all my life, designed and built "Daverri" a mid-engine conversion of a Pontiac FIrebird. Now building with Lego bricks.
