Hello there everyone,

I’m Vanity.

Whilst I present to the vanilla world as a male in male clothes (albeit a rather feminine one), the rest of the time I am in fact a male who wears wigs and makeup and bras and breastforms and girdles and stockings and suspenders and highheels etc. with a feminine look, manner, mannerisms and persona that feels much more natural to me. I don’t identify as being a female though, and I’m not trying to pass as one. I just present in this way because it makes me happy and it feels natural to me that I should.

Of all the ‘new’ words that have evolved to describe where people fall on the gender spectrum, I suppose the one that I feel most affinity with is ‘femboy’ (in that I’m a male who chooses to express himself through traditionally feminine aesthetics). But that seems to me a word that belongs to a younger generation than mine, so I think the simple and straightforward word ‘transvestite’ probably describes me best.

I have an interest in photography and portraiture and my Flickr stream consists of pictures of me that were taken over the last 10 years or so - the earliest from 2015 and the latest taken just a few weeks ago.
