I am an artist and teacher working in Ipswich, Suffolk.

I love painting and I also love teaching.

My practice has been grounded in observation of the world. I am inspired by painters like Morandi, Sisley, Sickert, and Sargentt. These artists all use a figurative language to communicate something unseen, subtle and mysterious. They are all masters of restraint and simplicity. Learning to see deeply and paint the world around me has been the engine behind my development as an artist.
