I'm an amateur macro photographer, illustrator, carnivorous plant (CP) grower and orchid enthusiast with a focus on Platanthera, Dactylorhiza, and Pleurothallidinae. I especially like taxonomy and phylogenetics, but am generally interested in most sciences and various other topics, such as history, psychology, philosophy, etc. Aside from my Flickr account, the only other social network I use is iNaturalist, where I'm the top identifier of orchids with a focus on the United States, Canada, and parts of Europe (www.inaturalist.org/people/arethusa). I always appreciate a good challenge (especially with the orchids of the United States and Canada) and am always happy to help identify orchid species.
