I am a professor of human rights and humanitarian diplomacy at Tel Aviv University. When I am not writing and teaching, I paint and photograph. I like to say that I make photographs; more creative than the violent "shooting," isn't it? Shooting a subject, really? I feel a tingle in my spine (as Nabokov explained what a story should evoke in a reader) when I study Saul Leiter and war photography.
I love the laughter of my children and the second movement of Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto 2.
