Self taught artist and photographer. I've always enjoyed photography, picked it up while I was in high school. I began drawing about 6 years ago. I was surfing the internet one evening when I wondered onto a site with "Zentangles" on it. Looked interesting, so I looked into it further and discovered it helped reduce stress. I thought "I gotta try this". My passion for drawing and art just exploded from there. I watch other artists on the internet, I look at techniques they use, advice that the give and from that, I just practice, practice, practice. Nothing better than getting home from a stressful day at work and relaxing with a drawing. You can just feel the stress leaving your body. I still do a Zentangle or two but I'm really focused on becoming a better, all around artist in a few different mediums. I'm in love with colored pencils and pastels. Hope to spend my retirement drawing my days away.
