How can I write something that would do justice to Henry? He has a way with words that many can only dream of, myself included. The descriptions he writes to accompany his photos are always well thought out and accompany the photos beautifully. Although he often is self-deprecating when it comes to his photos, he is more talented than most, and definitely more talented than he gives himself credit for. I met Henry just around the same time he started his 365 Days project. It was a pleasure to watch and read his journey. In fact I had to leave his stream for last everyday, and some days had to skip him entirely. You see, I couldn't just look at his photo, I needed to have time to read the description. Although I couldn't look and read every day, I always caught up when I did have the time. I am glad to know him.

Henry has a way of showing you his world through photography in a way that may change the way you see it yourself. He takes the time to really look at the world and notice the smallest of detail with respect, the love of nature, and a touch of humor in the simplest of things. There is this feeling of effortless captures and fleeting moments even within his self-portraits. Upon closer observation you realize his is the work of a down to Earth man with a huge heart and a love of life that just overflows into his photography. His descriptions will touch your heart and also make you think, while having the feel of a down-home welcoming, "come on back now, ya hear", mood to them. He has a sincere love for his wife and children and is the first to tell the world how lucky he is. Take a stroll through his stream as he welcomes you with Southern charm, a big ole bear hug and a genuine smile.
