The African Women Leaders Network is a ground-breaking women's led movement, supported by the African Union (Mr. Moussa Faki Mahamat, Chairperson of the AUC) and the United Nations (Ms. Amina J. Mohammed, UN Deputy Secretary-General), through the Office of the AU Special Envoy on Women, Peace and Security (Ms. Bineta Diop) and UN Women Executive Director (Ms. Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka). The AWLN aims at supporting women's participation and leadership in peace, security and development for the "Africa We Want!"
