Australian hobby photographer new to this site....older generation &am having extreme difficulty navigating my way around. Even figuring out how to upload an image is a challenge......(flickr designers take note).This is the MOST confusing site i have yet encountered. I did not grow up with electronic devices since my kindergarten days (or earlier), so please excuse any blunders I will make until i become familiar. Eventually i will no doubt wonder what the difficulties were all about........until then i remain perplexed & frustrated!!!

Retired for almost 10 years medical scientist (pathology, anatomy). Lived in Brisbane, Sydney & the last 24 years in Cairns. I forgot to set the date on a couple of my cameras, so the dates shown on this site are not necessarily accurate.....this mostly applies to anything dated January 2014 & January 2015 (which is most likely the year these cameras were manufactured). I didn't realize the error of my ways until recently & hence some of the dates shown could be out by 4 or 5 years!!!! I always assumed this was a glitch with microsoft windows & was extremely irritated until i finally worked out that I was the culprit. This has proven to be problematic since i have many thousands of images attributed to those dates & often can't access them to post on this site. Sometimes it works, but more often than not it doesn't.

I also have a problem uploading videos.....i have had some success, but usually get "error" messages .....perhaps incompatible file types..... e.g. some are AVCHD others mp4 ???? It is also an extremely slow procedure & can take more than an hour to upload a 3 minute clip.
