*Black and White is a lifelong passion of mine, I am an enthusiastic user of film and film cameras.
I am not at all opposed to digital technique, using a digital camera to scan my negatives has very much enhanced my experience of home developed black and white film photography.
I switch to digital capture whenever I feel like it, both systems have their share in my pursuit of photography.
These days I mostly use medium and large format cameras (Rolleiflex, Mamiya, Fujica and Intrepid) and classic Nikons in 35mm. My film types vary but certain types I come back to time and again: The unmatched Ilford HP5plus, Adox CHS 100, Fomapans or sometimes Tri-X .
I develop these films at home and digitize them using a Lumix S1 with an adapted manual macro lens on a copy stand.
The ingenious Valoi film holders greatly help keeping the negatives flat and allow to scan entire rolls in a few minutes.
I use Adobe Lightroom to turn my RAW scans into images to be viewed, shared and printed.
This allows me to assess, evaluate and enjoy my pictures over time, finding connections, topics and undercurrents.
I very much enjoy printing selected images in the darkroom on Ilford Multigrade RC and Foma fiber base papers, I am particularly fond of the Lith Printing process as an alternative way of expression

Un sens aigu de la lumière lui permet notamment de découper dans le réel avec audace et d’offrir à nos yeux une riche palette de valeurs entre le blanc et le noir. L’ensemble constitue un corpus admirable d’équilibre et de qualité autant qu'un formidable témoignage du talent créatif de Stefan. C’est un de mes très grands plaisirs que de parcourir son œuvre et de le voir évoluer sur Flickr depuis mes débuts !

Wenn ich hier hochscrolle, hab ich dein "Showcase" vor mir und allein davon ist JEDER EINZELNE Beitrag wert, zu schauen, zu verweilen und eine wirklich Reaktion zu zeigen (womit ich eben nicht den "Favoriten Klick" meine...).
