Drag to set position!
Originally from Cornwall, UK, now living in Poland. Enjoying retirement and more time for photography.
My father bought a Voigtlander Vito B camera in the late 1950s and used it right up to the 1990s. It was not easy to buy a German camera then because of import restrictions. He took mostly colour slides on Kodachrome II and since his passing I have inherited his collection of mostly family and holiday slides - quite a treasure. I feel fortunate to have colour photos of myself taken as long ago as 1959!
Like so many, I started my photographic adventures with a Kodak Brownie 127 (which I still have).
As a student in the early 1970s I became interested in more serious photography and bought a Zenith B followed by a Praktica and then achieved my ambition of owning a Pentax Spotmatic. A Pentax P30N followed and then after the digital revolution a K100D and a K30. Now, although I still occasionally use my K30 I have been converted to micro four thirds and use an Olympus Pen F, a beautiful camera which, with its retro styling, has taken me back to the beauty of my father's Vito B (which I have and which still works), but of course the Pen F has immensely more sophistication and complexity - the Voigtlander doesn't even need a battery!
I am very much an amateur but absolutely love getting out and about and taking photographs. Thanks for looking at my photos!
