I'm a Southern California guy (born and raised) and use photography as a means to escape the stress that comes from the fast-paced lifestyle of the greater Los Angeles area. I've been infatuated with them ever since I can remember. My mom says I was a restless toddler and the only time I would mellow out was when she took me trackside to watch Southern Pacific freight trains roll by. Although the majority of my photography is railroad related, I'll shoot pretty much anything that catches my eye, including birds, both natural and their metal counterparts, as well as mother nature's beauty. I started my photography in 2006 when I bought my first DSLR, a Nikon D50, and pretty much winged it ever since. I know my photography would greatly benefit from taking photography classes, but raising a family and work just doesn't leave much free time.
