"Was I deceived, or did a sable cloud

Turn forth her silver lining on the night?"

Milton, Comus

I don't know these verses keep resounding in my head... I suppose I just like the sound of them... anyway, turns out they are the origin, in the English language, of the expression: "every cloud has a silver lining"... and sable refers to Martes zibellina, a small weasel with a precious dark brown fur. In Old English, it simply means black (the word sable is used in heraldry).

I have two flickr accounts. I use this account to upload practice images. So nothing great here, but to all those who visit and fave, my heartfelt gratitude! I hope that it will get better with time!
