As time went by and I spend time reading about Lego on the internet, I learned about 'new' Lego. They have come up with quite a bit since I last played with bricks! Mini figures! Spaceships! Castles and Pirate ships and all kinds of adventures! And now so many franchise-toys; Batman, Star Wars, Harry Potter.

Lego has turned from building into story telling (we did that as kids too, even without mini figures: "this round 1x1 brick is a man. I call him Bob"). But this is so much more fun with figures and faces with some expression...

I dove into Classic Space (still comprehensible for an old school brick layer like me) and after a year happily graduated into Pirate stuff... I still prefer building my own things, but a few good sets are a solid base for a collection of bricks that 'work' well together. And they show me what can be done and how...
