Barratt Kirk, better known a Barry after my parents decided on the longer version. Now retired after almost five decades in the media, concentrating on newspapers in London's east end. apprenticed in Liverpool studio of Harry Watmough in 1963/64. Working next to Brian Epstein's NEMS Office in Moorfields, Harry took most of the early Beatles photographs before Ringo replaced Pete Best. Returned to London to Fleet Street News Agency, freelanced on weekly and national papers working from the London Borough of Havering, joined Archant's Romford Recorder as Photojournalist, promoted to editor of Archant's Barking and Dagenham Post.
