I first started Railway Photography in the 1970's when I used a Canon AE 1 Program Camera & a Canon 50mm Lens, most of my early efforts where mainly on Shed or at Station Locations

In August 1988 I purchase A Bronica ETRS 6x4.5 with a 75mm Lens & Through The Lens Viewfinder, this was an excellent Medium Format Camera, a year later I purchased a 150 mm Lens to give me more options

My next purchase was a Bronica GS-1 6x7 with 100mm Lens & Through The Lens Viewfinder in July 1991, I used a Home Made Bracket with the ETRS & 150mm Lens on top & the GS-1 on the bottom, this gave me 2 shots & a bit of insurance

I lost a lot of interest in The Railway Scene in 2003 only venturing out for something really special, using a combination of my GS-1 or my new Canon 10d Digital Camera

I was lucky to be able to take early Retirement in October 2016 & I decided to go out & about again using my Canon 1Dx, 50mm & 24-105mm Zoom lens, my latest purchase has been a Photography Pole & Camranger Wireless System linked to my i Pad, this gives some new views on already familiar locations

I started my Railway Photography in the Chesterfield area before moving to Bristol in 1985, moving again to Fareham in 1988, before moving back to Chesterfield in 1996
