How do I restart something that I never turned off? How do I leave almost 10 years of photos behind? Due to an issue with my Yahoo account I have lost 'control' of my Flickr account,

Lynn E Leith (Lynn - off & on) - it is orphaned.

I now have a new account, this photo stream, but I can no longer access or update any of the images in my original Flickr account; nor can I access the photo streams of the people whose photo's I follow, or the people who follow my photo stream, or all of the groups I've joined over the years. It is as though the hundreds of photos I've taken since 2008 and posted have been stolen from me. I will search through thousands of emails to try to find those I follow and hope that those who have chosen to follow my photos will somehow find this new stream. All of the groups to which I belong, well, I will need to join those again.

I went back to a photo I took in 2008 so that I could use the same buddy icon and although it is from the same photo it is of course slightly different as Flickr crops buddy icons before they are added. I've also used the same photo for the main page of my photo stream.

"There is something beautiful about a blank canvas, the nothingness of the beginning that is so simple and breathtakingly pure. It’s the paint that changes its meaning and the hand that creates the story. Every piece begins the same, but in the end they are all uniquely different."

Piper Payne

Thank you Francisco for encouraging me to set up an account back in 2011 and for your ongoing support.

I try to visit the photo stream of each person who comments or faves one of my photos.

To each and every one who has viewed, commented and/or faved one of my pictures - THANK YOU.

We all see things differently - that's one of the things that makes our journey through life so interesting. And, for those of us who spend a lot of time with our cameras, the way we see things, the way we approach life, is often reflected in the photographs we take.

And, for my Mom:
