The Lands of Warscape

Warscape, a world forever ravaged by conflict between factions maneuvering for control over one another and total ultimately domination. These factions call the various regions of Warscape, from the snow-capped mountain ranges of the north to the scorch lands and putrid bogs of the south. The races that inhabit these lands are as diverse as the regions themselves.

Main factions formed over hundreds of years as a core of strength and resilience, developing unique cultures based on military prowess. Sub-factions formed over time from less prevelant races, and these smaller forces allied themselves with the main factions for protection and victory. Treatise have been formed and allies have been broken, for there is never a moments peace in the Lands of Warscape.

The mountain Dwarves of the Spine have a tenuous pact with the Men of the Holding who call the lush and fertile southlands home. The Highland Horsemasters ally themselves with whomever has the best coin. The Orcs and Trolls of the Scorchshaws raid and pillage the lands to the north, enlisting the help of the Desert Ancients.

The board has been set, and the pieces are moving, welcome to Warscape.

(Warscape is my own personal fantasy idea for a militaristic type environment. Mainly based on the table-top game Warhammer, I have pulled influence from other fantasy areas like Lord of the Rings, World of Warcraft, and Game of Thrones.)

(Each war faction has a class system of development. At the head of each faction sits the Lords, the most powerful and influential individuals on the battlefield. Next comes the faction Heroes, individuals who have proved their worth in combat and are recognized for it. Below that we begin to see the factions military units. First comes the Special Units, military units that are unique to each faction and offer abilities on the battlefield that cannot be found anywhere else. Next are the Regular Units, battle groups that consist of the typical soldiers. These units are the meat of the armies. Lastly comes the War Machines and War Beasts, mechanical inventions and feral animals that offer siege abilities, long range fighting, and shock-and-awe.)

(Some factions prove better at fighting others, with each lord, hero, and unit abilities given them an edge of on the field of combat. Mercenary units are not included in fhe faction but rather outisde the faction as a Unit-For-Hire.)
