Enjoyed photography for a few years with a bridge so bought my first dslr this year and am hooked.

Very much a beginner, trying to learn as much as I can from getting out and about, reading/viewing the minefield of the internet and inspiration from flickr.

Trying to juggle time with work/family life/other activities and practising photography is a challenge but would love to improve. Practice practice practice I guess is the motto but welcome all pointers and help from others on all aspects.

Have Photoshop elements and play around with it is but as a newby don't really understand the ins and outs. I look at other people's work and wonder if the photos are edited, the use of a filter or other tricks and am keen to learn.
