I live and photograph in North Texas, Dallas County. My "garden" is a universe of plants and animals, and there is always something to study and photograph. The plants are mostly native to this area, with a number of adapted South and West Texas plants. Retirement allows me the leisure to sit and contemplate a tiny insect for hours, or to study and record the habits of the birds that visit and learn their language. I have found that close observation of nature is aided and intensified by photography, which in turn extends the pleasure beyond the moment.
