Israel-based Gittit Rad-El is the talent behind “Mad about Pottery”. Most of her ceramics ware are made on a potter's wheel; some details are added by hand using various clays and glazed with her own unique glazes which she makes in her studio. Inspired by the natural world and everyday life, she strives to find the perfect curve that will define her object.

My story with clay started at the age of five when I first went to a ceramics class and fell in love with an earthy authentic material. Even before this early age I wanted to make things by hand. As soon as I touched a lump of clay there was an immediate, strong connection that I have never lost. As a nature lover, it wasn't surprising that the clay spoke to me in this way.

In later years, I was introduced to the pottery wheel. I felt that I had really found my natural creative expression with the wheel. I love the way the symmetry of the wheel allows me to control the clay and create from an unformed lump a beautiful dish, bowl, cup or mug. However many times I do this, it is always magic for me.
