This work engages the perception of connections. Questioning relationships through the physical and non-physical. My work plays around with textures and shape. Exploring the internal and external use of skin as a metaphor, the skin becomes the fabric and the fabric becomes the skin. My images are all isolating drawing you into the louder, more fragile details. Distorting the images into manipulation of folding, sewing and stretching this can reflect a fragile approach into my work, making an image into a 3D form. Fascinated by the ability of how our skin grows layers of connecting skin cells, I decided to experiment further into this by looking into visual representation of skin. The blend of certain materials can easily manipulate someones appearance. Photographing myself and my two friends continues to capture the relationship from a different perception.
