Hello to everyone. I have a little bit of an interest in the night sky and nature and try my best to record what I see with photography, albeit with very different outcomes.

I must admit, I am not an expert and certainly not quite adept compared with a lot of the excellent displays I encounter on flickr. I must say, well done to all of you who provide some stunning examples of photography for us to enjoy. Whatever our ability, I feel we should encourage ideas and value the precious time we have to experience and share what we observe.

I certainly have great pleasure when anyone takes an interest in my photos and a big thank you to everyone who spend their time to view and appreciate them. I also hope that my albums can provide some assistance with knowledge and identification of things we encounter in our world and the night sky.

I have used many different types of equipment to obtain the images I post and I find there is great satisfaction in getting the best out of what is available. Despite quite a few disappointments encountered along the way, I am still trying to improve. As well as my technique, I hope it will involve the occasional foray in obtaining one or two more lenses for my Nikon and additions to my astronomical set up.

The important thing is, I will give it a go and remind myself I am always learning. Whatever we have at hand, I feel it is better to obtain that particular moment in time rather than nothing at all.

The keepsakes I obtain through photography are just a simple reminder and gratitude for a very fortunate and fascinating existence on this tiny but fascinating speck in the universe.
