I took to photography when my brother gifted me a DSLR. Have tried landscapes, portraits, birds, wildlife…the more I shoot the more I realize a hundred ways to do it better. I don’t know what I am good at…but I do know that photography gives me immense happiness…it makes me aware and grateful of the beauty that surrounds us. That I know a little bit more and that I want to learn a lot bit more, both keep me reassured that this is my joy.
I see and learn from so many talented people on flickr, sometimes thinking oh I can do that too…and sometimes thinking, wish I had thought of that. But thanks to many encouragements, I am more confident now. Every fav, smile and a thumbs up tells me that there are many more who appreciate the fact that it is only a photograph that can make time stand still.

The first time I saw Rashmi's photographs, I was very pleasantly surprised. She has the essential qualities that a good photographer must have. Rashmi, has a lot of sensitivity, which can be visualized in all her photos. She knows how to choose what is important in a scene and photograph it. And most importantly, she knows how to find a way to frame and find the best composition that makes her photography very beautiful. Rashmi has the "don", "gift" of photographic "composition", which is the most important thing to be a great photographer. Rashmi is one of my favorite photographers on Flickr. Her gallery is excellent. Each of her photographic works are full of sensitivity and beauty. Rashmi is a great photographer.
