As an amateur in street photography it is not my objective to show people, but to spot emotions that can be perceived in public space and to capture these in the photograph. Seen in this way, I understand the persons depicted as media of these very emotions.

Most of my street photographs are snapshots taken unbeknown to the pictured person(s). This is – in my opinion - the best way to archieve my goal.

Nevertheless you will find some portraits of people I have asked for permission to take a picture of them or even some photographs of people who asked me to take their picture.
