I am a 36 year old wife and mother of four. I've been in the field of nursing for 18 years and discovered my passion for photography about 5-6 years ago. I attended a local college for the arts in hopes of starting a new career with a Bachelor's degree in both Creative Writing and Photography. Unfortunately, after a mere semester, the college closed due to bankruptcy. I was devastated at the time but have tried to make the best of things by becoming self taught through instruction books and online resources...plus a lot of trial and error! Forgive some of my earlier images as my work evolves. I often do freelance work including small weddings, senior portraits, family portraits, boudoir and annual children's portraiture. I also love nature photography (particularly macro)... Mushrooms, flowers, spider webs,etc. I love anything with vibrant color or eye catching texture. Currently, I am studying new techniques for stylized portraiture with magical elements (think Alice Down the Rabbit Hole kind of vibe)!
